Kessia, a 75-pound, 19-month-old bear, balances on the head of her trainer, Anatoly Kolodenko, during a show Monday at Liberty Elementary School.

Kolodenko and the bear were in Boise as part of an a advance team for the Moscow Circus, which will be performing at the Boise State University Pavilion on Jan. 5-7.
